About Purak

'Purak' is an organization working to empower an individual and fill the 'empty space', created in one's life, created by the materialistic influence all around in society. Purak has been formulated to fill this void using the tools of creative intervention, stimulating the humane part of being; the artist within and the 'aesthetic inclination’ or the ‘Shilpa’ innate in it, rejuvenating the process of 'self-expression' that is the foremost process of 'Self-knowing'.

We believe that self knowing is the first step to self development. The professionals at Purak, through their expertise, believe that nothing can be a better tool for self-expression than performing arts. As it originates from the expression, and gets enhanced through its own reflection. The specially designed programmes of Purak do not aim at taking anyone to stage or celluloid, but to equip them, with the capability to perform aptly in their real life as true artists, a performer. By way of a profound understanding of oneself, as the mark of true education, transcending the boundaries of what we perceive as “knowledge” and “lifelong learning.” Purak through its various programmes focuses on exploring the treasure within for introspection and self-discovery through life’s journey.

Purak has got a bountiful range of creative programmes to offer to the children, teachers and people from all walks of life. These include workshops on appreciating and understanding Creative Drama, Storytelling, music, Puppetry and enhancing skills of self exploration.
